The Illinois Community College Trustees Association’s Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes the many success stories of Illinois’ community college graduates.
2009 Distinguished Alumni Nomination Form
Award Criteria
Each nomination for the ICCTA Distinguished Alumnus Award will be reviewed according to the following criteria:
- Outstanding success and distinction in his/her chosen field
- Humanitarian service that has proven greatly beneficial to society
- Continued interest in and support of education and community colleges
- Overcoming life’s obstacles
- Completion of a recognized program of instruction at an Illinois public community college PRIOR TO June 30, 2004.
Nomination Requirements
Nominations for the ICCTA Distinguished Alumnus Award must be submitted by the ICCTA member college (Richland). Each ICCTA member college is eligible to nominate one graduate each year.
All award nominations must include the following support materials:
- A completed nomination form (all sections must be answered as completely as possible)
- A brief biographical sketch of the nominee (up to 2 pages)
- Up to 2 letters of recommendation (from employers, civic leaders, colleagues)
- A brief self-statement (up to 500 words) describing how the nominee’s life has been shaped by a community college education
Deadline
All nomination materials must be received in the Richland Community College Foundation Office (N104) by Friday, December 19, 2008.
